“We thank our members who designed and tiled these lovely benches,” commented TCNA Executive Director Eric Astrachan. “You can see the love and care that went into them. We are sure they will be enjoyed for many years by Boys & Girls Clubs’ children, visitors and supporters.”
“Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida is extremely grateful to the members of TCNA for their generous support,” remarked Director of Club Operations, Jeronda Hill. “Their contribution of benches will create an even more welcoming environment for our community’s Club members. We thank them for helping us open the door to great futures for more than 13,000 Central Florida children that we serve annually at our 30 Club locations.”
During Coverings 2015 these benches will be on display in the TCNA Art Tile Courtyard (#3609) and TCNA’s booth (#3015), and a donation ceremony will be held in the Art Tile Courtyard at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16th.
Since 1944 Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida (BGCCF) has helped inspire hope and opportunity in those who need it most – at-risk children in their local community. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida provides safe places to learn and grow for nearly 13,000 children between the ages of 6 and 18 every year. At each of their 30 Clubs in Brevard, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties, core youth development programs are offered to meet the diverse needs and interests of their members.
Their mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. BGCCF strives to ensure its members achieve academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. For every dollar spent on its programs, BGCCF generates $17.81 of positive economic impact in its Central Florida community; however, the impact on the lives of its children is immeasurable.
